Artists, writers, photographers, home bakers and chefs joined together to create this portrait of coastal life, based upon the foods we love to grow, cook and share. The resulting cookbook, A Taste of Life on Quadra Island, is a fundraiser for the Quadra Island Children’s Centre.

The book includes 140 tried and true recipes, with an emphasis on local ingredients. There are also foodie profiles, history tales, and homesteading tips illustrated by colour photographs.

A Taste of Life on Quadra Island was launched last December, and 2,000 copies sold out within seven months. The new edition is available in retail outlets across Vancouver Island, including the Museum at Campbell River.
